SKIING, SNOWBOARDING
Oz en Oisans is situated at the heart of the Massif des Grandes Rousses and is part of the Alpe d'Huezski area: A true paradise for beginners, advanced and experienced skiers and snowboarders.
From Résidence Club Alpine Le Hors Piste you have direct access to the 240 kms of runs (13 black, 26 red, 30 blue and 39 green) and 86 ski lifts! All slopes are well prepared and most of them very wide. The “La Sarenne” run starts at the top of the Pic Blanc glacier at 3330m and is famous for being Europe’s longest black run, as it finisches after 16 kms at an altitude of 1.100 m. in Villard Reculas.
Snowboarders have great times in the Fun Park and some spectacular mogul runs. The ample off-piste opportunities make this area extra challenging.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING, HIKING
Cross-country skiers and guest who like to walk find well sign posted tracks along splendid frozen lakes and waterfalls and will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. You can set off directly from Résidence Club Alpine Le Hors Piste!
EXCELLENT SNOW CONDITIONS
Due to the altitude the Alpe d' Huez ski area enjoys excellent snow conditions and always a long ski season. The network of modern artificial snow equipment ensures that throughout the season you can start and finish your skiing right on the doorstep of Résidence Club Alpine Le Hors Piste.
SKI PASS
You can purchase ski passes at the Résidence Club Alpine Le Hors Piste reception or at the “caisse” of the Poutran lift. You can reserve your ski passes (at reduced rates) in advance at the time of booking your accommodation. Two types of ski passes are available, one for all lifts in the Alpe d’Huez area and the other just for the lifts in Oz/Vaujany.
SKI HIRE
Ski hire is available in Oz Station and advance reservation is possible at the time of booking your accommodation. Guests of Résidence Club Alpine Le Hors Piste receive a discount (higher discount for advance reservations) at Sport 2000.
SKI LESSONS / SKI TRIPS
Ski lessons are available from V.O. Coaching (English speaking) and the ESF. At the reception of Résidence Club Alpine Le Hors Piste it will also be possible (subject to availability) to arrange private lessons and guided ski trips. To avoid disappointment you can already arrange advance reservations for lessons with V.O. coaching at the time of booking your accommodation.
NURSERY / KINDERGARTEN
There is a nursery / kindergarten day care facility in Oz Station, either ½-day or full-day. Please note that by French law children are only admitted when you can show proof that they have had their injection against tuberculoses.
