The translation of Hors Piste is off-piste. And this applies most certainly to the positions of the hotel and chalets. Directly on or very near to the “Clos du Pré”  slope and drag lift, which ensure immediate access to the 240 kilometres of runs and 86 lifts in the Alpe d’Huez ski arena. 

The hotel and 33 detached chalets have been built on the former ‘Domaine du Clos du Pré” and construction was completed between 1999 and 2002. During the early years it was just the hotel carrying the name Le Hors Piste. This all changed ultimo 2006. The majority of the chalet proprietors expressed the need for a professional management and letting service with regard to their properties. With this in mind the deal with the management company of the hotel was concluded in June 2006. Ever since that moment the new policy has been put into practice by means of a carefully planned strategic approach.
 
One of the prime elements hereof is that the hotel and chalets form one front by advertising themselves as a holiday village in the Alps. Not just as far as the accommodation is concerned, but by synchronizing and including its various facilities, such as bar, restaurant, animation, excursions, events, etc. the  “Everything under one roof” concept was born, which is also reflected in the name Résidence Club Alpine Le Hors Piste.

This should not just lead to an improved reputation as a winter sport destination, but by putting special emphasis on facilities and opportunities in other seasons opens up excellent options for numerous target groups and means a much wider expansion.   

As is apparent from the information supplied on this website, all ingredients are present for super winter and summer holidays. If so desired, we will create a “made to measure” itinerary for any group, fully taking into account preferences and wishes.

More often, however, guests from Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain and even as far a field as U.S.A., Australia, South Africa and Japan know how to find their way to Résidence Club Alpine Le Hors Piste.

THE TEAM

The international character is also reflected on the Résidence Club Alpine Le Hors Piste staff. The members of the Team come from France, Britain, Holland and even Fiji. All speak several languages, which means most of the guests can communicate with the staff in their mother tongue. Added to the service orientated and welcoming approach of all Team members means guests feel quickly at home in Résidence Club Alpine Le Hors Piste.  Dutchman Pieter and Christine from England are the sociable and hospitable management couple, who take great joy in ensuring their guests experience the pleasures of life. Their flexible attitude, listening ear, eye for detail and extensive experience are reflected in the warm ambiance which means that guests, other tourists in Oz and locals enjoy being in their company.

Development at Résidence Club Alpine Le Hors Piste is never ending and will always be guided by our main principle: “The needs of our guests come first”. Preferable put into practice ahead of market trends.  

In summer there is a choice of activity packages. Under the guidance of professionals you can try activities such as: Down hilling on a mountain bike; Cycling in the mountains with at the end the time trial climb to Alpe d’Huez; Para panting; Canyoning; etc.
